| Event Specialists of New Orleans
has the combined expertise
of 22 years of event planning in New Orleans. In January of 2001 Event
Specialists merged with Conventions a la Carte, a leader in the local
event-planning arena. Since 1981, Conventions a la Carte has been
servicing major corporations, convention and incentive groups. Patty Habeeb, owner of Conventions a la Carte, has been involved in the local hospitality industry for 31 years. Patty's vision of the rapid growth in the tourism industry sparked the desire to begin her own Destination Management Company whereby she could provide a much-needed service for groups traveling to New Orleans from all over the world. She has serviced groups that range in size from 20 to 8,000. She holds the accreditation of Certified Meeting Planner and continues to be involved in the day-to-day operations of Event Specialists. Renee Ganucheau, President and co-owner of Event Specialists, brings a great deal of special event planning experience to the business having served as Executive Director of the Louisiana Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Renee's primary goal for 10 years with this national organization was to produce events utilizing the most cost-effective means thereby resulting in more funding for an important organization. These efforts of good will and fiduciary responsibility remain an integral part of Event Specialists' philosophy to provide the most comprehensive and exclusive personal service at the best value. Jan L. Allen, CMP Senior Account Executive Jan joined ESNO in the fall of 2007 and brought with her an endless amount of experience in both meeting and event planning. Jan spent fifteen years with Entergy Corporation, ten of which were at the corporate headquarters as an Event Manager/Meeting Planner for the Business Marketing Department. With Entergy, Jan produced meetings and events throughout the southeast, ranging from customer conferences to federal engineering symposiums. Jan fell in love with New Orleans as a child while visiting with relatives and was determined to make it her home. After following the Arkansas River to the Mississippi, she landed on Bayou St. John in a historic 100 year-old “shotgun” house. After creating unique events and planning flawless meetings for another DMC, she’s now considered a true New Orleanian as she knows our unique city just like a native!!! A charter member of the Louisiana Chapter of Meeting Professional International (MPI), Jan has served locally as chapter president and treasurer, as well as on international association committees. Her experience with this prestigious organization has afforded her many contacts in the industry, both regionally and around the world. Here locally she can be found sharing her knowledge as a speaker and instructor to the hospitality students at Delgado Community College. A graduate of Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas, Jan holds a degree in music. She further pursued the arts in post-graduate studies at the University of Arkansas. Georgia G. Rhody Operations Manager Georgia found her way to New Orleans through a similar path as Jan. Another Southern lady at ESNO, she is a native of Columbus, Mississippi. Shortly after graduating from college, her love of the local New Orleans music scene inspired her to establish roots in one of the many culturally rich neighborhoods of our city, the Bywater. Throughout the 12 years of calling New Orleans home, Georgia has worked with the recording industry starting with a record label and expanding to form a partnership of her own in a recording studio. The studio has worked with over 100 artists from around the world. One local violinist, besides being a client, two years later became her husband. Georgia & Matt can be seen around town exploring the local Jazz scene. With her degree in Interior Design from Mississippi University for Women, she understands the importance of executing a flawless and seamless event. Combined with her knowledge of the music industry and her quirky sense of humor, Georgia adds a lot of spice and creativity to the ESNO team!! |
